Our New Trotec Laser Cutter!
We are pleased to announce that Mastermodels have just taken delivery of our Trotec Speedy 400 laser cutter! We now offer a complete laser cutting and engraving service for individuals, as well as businesses and other model makers.
The Trotec Speedy 400 is a large format laser cutter and engraver with a work area of 1000 x 610 mm, it also has a pass-through for bulky materials.
It has a 120 Watt laser, which is the highest power in its class. This enables us to cut through thick materials such as Acrylic , wood, textiles, rubber and laminate, with incredible accuracy and speed.
The ability to cut and engrave intricate designs in a variety of materials with a super high level of accuracy and speed is invaluable in the model making industry.
Some of these applications include:
- Architectural Models – We can cut model components such as floor levels, site contours, elevations, intricate window designs and etch details such as roof surface, brickwork and cladding.
- Awards & Trophies – We can cut and engrave beautiful designs out of acrylic, these can be lit to highlight the design and create something really special.
- Packaging Design – We can design and cut packaging that would otherwise be impossible to traditional methods of packaging productions e.g. die cutting. Whether paper, plastic, cardboard, corrugated cardboard or packing film, the laser is the flexible tool for packaging design.
- Sign Making – Unique shapes for POP/POS displays, signs or neon signs make an end product stand out and enhance its appeal. The perfect finish offered by a laser cutter turns a printed acrylic plate or printed sheet of paper in to a finished marketable product.
We have a our own design team in house to create your product or artwork or you can supply us with your own designs.
